As a dedicated STEAM school, we fully embrace Project-Based Learning (PBL) as our teaching methodology. Collaborative work is facilitated through individual usernames, passwords, and Google accounts, fostering peer and teacher interaction.
Mentorship stands as Louisiana’s exclusive high school partnering with Summit Schools and Facebook on the Personalized Learning Platform (PLP). This innovative tool empowers teachers to deliver tailored instruction and self-directed learning within a rigorous framework, enabling students to master content on a deeper level.
Collaborations with industry giants like Albemarle, Taylor Porter, ExxonMobil, and Solutions Through Science ensure students are intentionally exposed to STEAM careers. Our educators arrange field trips and invite guest speakers, ranging from Engineers to Architects, providing crucial insights into potential career paths.
Senior students at Mentorship have the opportunity to embark on internships in their areas of interest, which not only enhance their social skills but also connect them with real-world professionals.
