In light of recent natural disasters, such as the COVID-19 pandemic, our educational institutions have experienced a significant rise in the demand for supplementary support services. In 2022, we introduced the Helix Unlimited initiative, a comprehensive project spanning our entire network, designed to implement an integrated wraparound services model to ensure academic success for all students.
The core objective of the Helix Unlimited Project is to provide an extensive array of wraparound resources that are centrally accessible and have a proven track record of positively influencing the lives and educational outcomes of students, their families, and the broader community. This initiative seeks to establish robust support networks involving students, their families, school administrators, educators, and qualified professionals. Helix will actively collaborate with local healthcare facilities, mental health clinics, vision centers, and various businesses to offer a wide spectrum of services to enhance student mental well-being, socio-emotional development, and academic achievement.
Helix students will receive comprehensive preparation for their future educational and career pursuits in secondary and post-secondary settings.
The Helix community, including students and their families, will have access to a comprehensive network of mental health services and resources.
All teachers and staff will possess the necessary skills to accurately identify and guide students and families toward a wide range of wraparound services.
Helix aims to establish a model community with healthy interpersonal interactions. This will be achieved through equipping faculty, teachers, staff, and students with practical tools and strategies for conflict resolution and anger management.
Helix students and their families will access an extensive support system encompassing nutrition, healthcare, and various services to address economic challenges.
Our Model
The Helix Unlimited Project is meticulously crafted to embrace an integrated wraparound services framework to guarantee every student’s academic success. This unique model goes beyond conventional school-based and special education services, creating robust support networks encompassing students and their families.

Air Force JROTC offers an aerospace science program and leadership training to high school students. Encompassing a range of curricular and extracurricular activities, our program delves into the historical and scientific aspects of aerospace technology. Through our program, students develop qualities of self-reliance, self-discipline, and leadership available to 9th through 12th graders. Our program is not a recruitment tool for the military services, and participants bear no obligation to the Air Force.
Our aim is to educate and train cadets in citizenship and life skills, promote community service, inculcate a sense of responsibility, develop character and self-discipline, and impart air and space fundamentals, along with the Air Force’s core values of “integrity first, service before self, and excellence in all we do.
Classroom learning covers a spectrum of topics including the heritage of flight, aircraft flight and navigation principles aeindustry. Cadets are introduced to military customs, citizenship in the United States, wellness, first aid, health and fitness, basic drill and ceremonies, effective communication, management, human relations, and preparing for life beyond high school. The Air Force provides all uniforms and curriculum materials. Cadets enhance classroom knowledge through field trips to military bases, aerospace facilities, museums, airports, and other aerospace education-related locations. They actively participate in parades, leadership labs, air rifle marksmanship programs, drill team competitions, honor guard activities, military balls, and academic groups.
Continuing education is enriched by AF JROTC. Cadets may be considered for ROTC college scholarships and service academy appointments. Scholarships can cover several years of tuition, books, and fees at various universities. Graduates who choose immediate military service can enter the Air Force at a higher pay grade and enroll in the Community College of the Air Force, receiving college credit toward their associate college degree.
