Public Records Requests

In accordance with the Louisiana Public Records Law (La. R.S. 44:1 et seq.), individuals may request access to public records maintained by Helix Community Schools by submitting a written request to the Custodian of Public Records. All public records requests must be directed to: public.records@helixcommunityschools.org.

This email address is designated exclusively for the submission of public records requests. Student education records are protected under the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and related state laws, and are not considered public records. Requests for student records must be submitted directly to the appropriate school using the contact information provided below. Requests properly submitted to the Custodian of Public Records will be reviewed and responded to within the timeframes required by Louisiana law.

Student Records Requests
Helix Community Schools maintains student records at the school level. To request student records, please email hmma.studentrecords@helixcommunityschools.org. To ensure timely processing, include the student’s full name, date of birth, and any relevant details needed to locate the records. Failure to direct records requests to the correct school will result in delayed processing.
